Last.fm is one of the most popular sites with streaming music from a huge collection of artists. In fact, most artists have their own artist page on last.fm. There is also a special page with free, legal downloads which is updated often. You can filter the list by choosing you favorite musical genre as well. You will also find free tracks on each artist's page. Look for the blue "Free MP3" -button besides a track.
